Evaporation is the process by which water changes from a liquid state to a gas or vapor state that is called evaporation. As mentioned previously, evaporation is the primary pathway by which water moves from its liquid state back into the water cycle as atmospheric water vapor. According to studies, evaporation from the oceans, seas, lakes, and rivers accounts for nearly 90 percent of the total moisture in the atmosphere, with the remaining 10 percent coming from plant transpiration.

Even though gasoline naturally degrades and loses combustibility over time as a result of oxidation (exposure to oxygen) and evaporation of its volatile compounds, gasoline can be stored for three to six months if it is properly stored in a labeled, tightly sealed plastic container or metal tank with the capacity recommended by your fire department. If there is more than 14 percent natural gas in the mixture of air and natural gas, ignition will not occur because the mixture is “too rich,” or contains more fuel than is required for combustion. It will take approximately 30-40 copies to complete the path. Petrol, also known as gasoline, evaporates at a faster rate than most other liquids due to the weak intermolecular forces that exist between its molecules.

If by gas you mean gasoline, which is also known as petroleum, it evaporates quickly when exposed to direct sunlight. It is not only gasoline that evaporates at room temperature; all liquids (including water) do as well. Petrol evaporates more quickly than water because of the weak intermolecular attraction between the molecules. The low strength of the attraction between molecules means that the molecules on the surface don’t have to expend much energy to break free of their bonds and enter the gaseous phase.
