How do you know when owlet sock is charged?

Simply go to settings and you will see a percentage charge left in the sock in the bottom-left corner of the page. When checking the battery life, make sure the sock is not plugged into the Base Station. Otherwise, the app will simply display the word “Charging” to indicate that the sock is charging.

When charging, what color is the owlet sock?

The Base Station will glow a cool white color when you charge the Smart Sock on it. This indicates that it is charging and that the Smart Sock has been successfully paired with the Base Station. When the Base Station is being updated, it may appear solid white.

How much time does it take to charge an owlet sock?

The Owlet has an 18-hour battery life, but we recommend charging it every day. You charge the sock by plugging it into the base station. It usually takes at least 30 minutes or so to fully charge.

What do the lights on owlet represent?

The sock may have fallen off, shifted, or been placed incorrectly. Notification in Blue The Sock is out of range, the battery has died, or the signal has been blocked. Notification in Red The baby’s heart rate or oxygen level fell outside of the predefined ranges.

What is the significance of owlet’s green blinking?

A blinking green light indicates that the first heart rate and oxygen readings have been obtained. Slow pulsing green light: heart rate and oxygen levels appear to be normal. Blue flashing light indicates that the smart sock has been disconnected from the base station. The smart sock has fallen off or is improperly placed, as indicated by the yellow flashing light.

What does the yellow light on Owlet indicate?

Yellow alerts indicate that the Smart Sock is unable to obtain a good reading. This could be due to poor positioning, wearing the wrong size sock, having cold feet, having too much light in the room, or having too much motion.

What does the color blue mean on the Owlet?

A flashing blue base station indicates that the Smart Sock is out of range or that the signal is being blocked.

Will Owlet notify you if the baby ceases to breathe?

The Owlet Smart Sock uses pulse oximetry, the same technology used in hospitals, to send out alerts directly to the base station and, through WiFi, to a smartphone if a baby stops breathing while sleeping.

When should you discontinue using Owlet?

Owlet recommends stopping use when your child reaches the age of 18 months or weighs more than 40 pounds, whichever comes first. This is due to the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is extremely low after the age of 18 months.

Does Owlet send you notifications to your phone?

You will continue to receive notifications from your phone in order to stay informed. Remember that red notification preferences cannot be changed. If you’re curious about the sound of a red notification or any other Owlet notification, just try it out in the app!

What’s the deal with my Owlet camera blinking red and blue?

When connecting your Cam for the first time or connecting to a new WiFi connection, the Cam must be in pairing mode, which is indicated by an alternating red and blue status light below the camera lens. The LED Status (above) is for Cams running firmware 1.9 or higher.

What does the purple light on Owlet mean?

You may have noticed that the new Smart Sock 3 appears to have a purple light rather than the red light that you are accustomed to seeing with pulse-oximeters. When this blue light is combined with the red light used for pulse oximetry, the Sock Sensor takes on a new purple hue.
