How To Change Sims Name Sims 4

By altering a Sim via Create a Sim, you may freely change the names of your Sims without having to resort to tricks. In live mode, CAS may be reached through the dresser, mirror, closets[GT], style stations[GF], or practicing hacks (shift-click on a Sims choose and “Modify in CAS”); in Manage Worlds, CAS can be accessible through household management. To alter the names of your Sims, simply select the “Change Name…” choice from the city hall menu. After entering the city hall, a text window will open, allowing the players to type in the new names of their Sims. It will take some time to go inside the municipal hall.

SimPE is required for this way of altering names. It is possible that SimPe will not properly update all references for the first name (see notes). SimPE should be opened. Select the neighborhood where the Sim we want to rename resides by selecting “Neighborhood Browser” and then selecting the neighborhood where the Sim we want to rename lives. After the files have been opened, go to “Sim Browser” and search for the Sim you’re looking for.

Following the selection of the Sim, we wish to rename, select the More button and then pick the Load Character File options from the drop-down menu. You can use the Plugin View tab at the bottom-left corner of the screen if all you see is a dark screen with the neighborhood icon, fertility rate, academic institutions, and explanation (if any), but neither of the Plugin View keys (Overview, Career, Interactions, Interests, Character, Abilities, Other, and More) is visible (right before Package). After you’ve opened the character file, go to the Catalog Descriptions resource and click on it.

If you look within the String text box, you should be able to see Sim’s first name. You may choose which one of the three strings you want to see by using the ascending and descending arrows to the left of the text box. 0 represents this Sim’s initial name, 1 represents his or her description or biography (which is normally left blank for the majority of Sims), and 2 represents the Sim’s surname. If necessary, translate such strings into additional languages. To proceed, click the Commit button, which is located underneath the RFT & Help buttons. Then you should save it.
